London, UK - 12th September 2024 – Ex-Skinny Lister and The Alps guitar-man Sam Brace returns with 4 brand new tracks that form an EP to be released on Elusive Music as a 10” Vinyl in November 2024 with first track “We Go High” dropping digitally across all streaming platforms on 11th October 2024.
Since launching debut album Fever & Bones and completing a short solo tour of the West Coast of USA in 2022 and early 2023, Sam has had to take some enforced time off to deal with a serious health situation. The turn of 2024 brought recovery and renewed energy, the new EP came to life and features performances from members of the new live act “Sam Brace and the Merciless Bronze” as well as long-time co-writing partner, Adam Tarry.
“These 4 tracks all have special significance for me” commented Sam Brace. “Since coming back from a brush with a potentially life-threatening illness, each one of these songs helped me to find a way through it - You don’t realise how fragile life is until something like this happens and I think it really helped me work through the mental side of illness by immersing myself completely in these new tracks. For better or worse, I’ve mixed and produced all the songs myself for the first time and I’m really proud of each one, this is one of the reasons why there’s not a title track, I think each song stands on its own. I really hope folks will like them as much as I do!”
The forthcoming 4 tracks will be released digitally one at a time on Elusive Music forming an EP that will be released on Vinyl later in 2024. Sam feels that We Go High, Collide, Diesel and Graceless are the best tracks he has yet produced and is excited to take them (as well as album 1) on the road in 2025. The new EP was also mixed and produced by Sam with mastering duties performed by album 1 producer, Ed Ripley at Rare Tone Studios in UK.
